December 2, 2017 9 am to 3 pm at 100 Tallwood Drive, Ottawa

Join us at the City of Ottawa Archives to create your letter to Santa. You will also get to make crafts, decorate cookies and hear traditional holiday stories. Bring your whole family.

Booze, Bus and Banter - Historic Tavern Tour

Learn about four of Ottawa’s historic taverns and enjoy a visit to each! Start with a self guided tour at the City of Ottawa Archives with the "Taverns and Troublemakers" exhibit, then hop on a bus and travel back in time with us to The Carleton Tavern, Elmdale Oyster House & Tavern, The Prescott, and ending with the Chateau Lafayette.

Dates: October 21, 2015 and March 9, 2016

Time: 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Cost: $10.00

Heritage Day 2015

Join the City of Ottawa Cultural and Heritage Services Branch in partnership with the Council of Heritage Organization in Ottawa at Ottawa City Hall on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, to browse the informational displays and mingle with the exhibitors at the 2015 Heritage Showcase. Find out how heritage is being celebrated in our community; learn about services offered by local heritage organizations, public programs and special initiatives, as well as professional development and volunteer opportunities.

This year’s theme: the importance of main streets at the heart of the community and what they tell about a community’s social and economic history.    

Fête du patrimoine 2015

Le 17 février, 2015, à l’hôtel de ville d’Ottawa, vous pourrez visiter des kiosques d’information et rencontrer des exposants dans le cadre de l’exposition de 2015 sur le patrimoine.  Venez découvrir comment on célèbre le patrimoine dans notre communauté et vous renseigner sur les services offerts par les organismes du patrimoine locaux, sur les programmes publics et les initiatives spéciales de même que sur les possibilités de développement professionnel et de bénévolat.
