Join the City of Ottawa Cultural and Heritage Services Branch in partnership with the Council of Heritage Organization in Ottawa at Ottawa City Hall on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, to browse the informational displays and mingle with the exhibitors at the 2015 Heritage Showcase. Find out how heritage is being celebrated in our community; learn about services offered by local heritage organizations, public programs and special initiatives, as well as professional development and volunteer opportunities.

This year’s theme: the importance of main streets at the heart of the community and what they tell about a community’s social and economic history.    

Come celebrate with the Friends of the City of Ottawa Archives.

Friends of the City of Ottawa Archives Annual General Meeting 2014

Please join us on Sunday, November 2, 2014, from 2pm to 3:30pm at the City of Ottawa Archives, 100 Tallwood Drive, for our annual general meeting.  

Featured speaker Silvia Kindl, conservator with the City of Ottawa Archives, will talk about ongoing projects at the Archives and describe some of the problems and solutions in her conservation work with the collections, including the Andrews-Newton photo collection.

This is a chance to find out what’s new at the City of Ottawa Archives and to meet and mingle with fellow FCOA members. Also on the agenda is the election of the FCOA Board of Directors. If you’d like to lead a special project or get more involved with the group, please let us know as we’re looking for individuals to serve on our volunteer board.
